Institute of Asian and Oriental Studies

New occupancy of the building by the Asia-Orient-Institute (AOI) of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in Germany. New construction of a library building in passive house standard with general renovation and conversion of the old eye clinic. A main concern of the design is to develop a respectful dialogue between the old building and the new building. Essentially, this is achieved by largely “freeing” the old building and adapting essential building parameters through the new building. eyrise will be an important part to create a sustainable new building.
