Kantonschule Stadelhofen

The “Hallenbau” building, built in 2000, needed an improvement to increase comfort and summer- and winter thermal insulation. The focus was placed on a sustainable approach to the existing design language. Intact façade components will be reused wherever possible, and external sun protection will be provided for all areas that receive direct sunlight. The glass roof will be completely replaced with eyrise switchable glass. The energy requirements will be covered by a new PV system on the main roof. All measures are aimed at optimising the refurbishment both economically and in terms of resources and materials.
